Faneuil Hall, Quincy Market, Old North Church, and Old Ironsides in Boston, Minuteman Statue and Minuteman National Historic Park in Lexington, North Bridge in Concord are but a few of the sites that await. Fenway Park, Boston Common, Boston Public Garden and its famous swan boats are within walking distance of each other and several of the other sites above. A full vacation experience is available before during and after the Cal Ripken World Series.

Will there be Medical Personnel at Nutile Field in case of an emergency?

Yes.

How can we help?

A successful World Series has many facets that must come together, not only to play the games but to contribute to the entire experience that is the Cal Ripken World Series. This means many volunteers doing coutless jobs at the field and behind the scenes. It also requires significant financial resources that are defrayed in part by our wonderful sponsors and donors.

To help, you may wish to volunteer your time or make a contribution. If you would like further information on volunteering please ask Liz Darby or Tim Woolston.

What is SYBS?

Sachem Youth Baseball/Softball Association, Inc. (SYBS), provides baseball and softball activities for children of the ages of 6 to 18. Our organization is made up of a Board of Directors who plan and execute the program of SYBS. As a not-for-profit organization, we rely on volunteers to perform the many functions needed to give our kids a worthwhile experience.

SYBS is affiliated with Babe Ruth League, an international organization that offers the opportunity for tournament play, a comprehensive insurance package and considerable flexibility in how we manage our spring and summer seasons. Babe Ruth covers both baseball and softball, with baseball being subdivided further based on playing age. The 12 and under baseball division is known as the Cal Ripken Division. Descended from the previous Bambino Division, it was renamed for the 1999 season in honor of the Baltimore Orioles Hall-Of-Fame infielder.
